12/20/10 Rick DePofi of Mojo Mancini Sat On The Couch

Mojo Mancini is a group of professional musicians from the New York City area who, when not performing for their "day-jobs" get together to make music with no predetermined style or structure and to have fun doing it.

Comprised of DePofi on Saxophone, Grammy-winning producer and guitarist John Leventhal, “Saturday Night Live” drummer Shawn Pelton, keyboardist Brian Mitchell, and bassist Conrad Korsch, the band was formed in 2000.

I got to chat with Rick about the formation of the band, their newest album and what the band hopes to achieve as a unit while continuing to perform outside the group.

12/20/10 Ryan Perry from Homemade Jamz Blues Band Sat On The Couch

Homemade Jamz Blues Band were the youngest band to ever compete in the IBC and they took second place in 2007. Comprised of Ryan on guitar and vocals along with his brother Kyle and sister Taya with their dad Renaud as primary music writer, they are continuing to gain acceptance and fans.

Ryan and I discussed the formation of the band, their use of automobile mufflers to design and build their lead and bass guitars and their newest release The Game, which is a collection of Mississippi Hill Country Blues inspired music.
