Nathan James has created a musical identity with his homemade instruments and self taught skills.

He came to Memphis with his then musical partner Ben Hernandez and took first place in the Solo/Duo Challenge.

What has driven Nathan since his childhood to become a musician?

Where does he come up with the ideas for his many custom instruments?

How did the IBC impact his career and would he be where he is today without the win?

These are all things Nathan and I discussed during our time on The Couch.
