Out of Houston, TX, Trudy was still a teen when she sang onstage with Albert Collins and had the chance to open for Ike & Tina Turner. Trudy has just released her 12th solo album and third on the Conner Ray Music Label and she and I explored her wonderful musical journey as we listened to songs from I’ll Sing The Blues For You.

Paul is an acclaimed producer and musician. The artists he has worked with in the studio and on stage is staggering. From his time as part of the Hour Glass to producing gold and platinum records for artists including the Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker and Wet Willie. Malaya Blue returns for Couch Kid New Music with her latest release, Heartsick. Malaya first sat on The Couch back in April of 2014 and called in back in June of 2015 to share one of the new songs from this album. She and I shared some stories of the recording and the songs on the album and what is coming up for this talented woman.

Pierre Lacocque takes a seat for the fourth time, he is one of my original kids first sitting on The Couch back in 2010 and returning in 2012 and then in 2014. This time it is to discuss the new release, Cab Driving Man. It’s always a blast with Pierre.

TERESA JAMES - Segment Begins At The 1:31:00 Mark

Teresa was scheduled a few weeks back, but fell ill…So we rescheduled to bring her back for her second visit. She returns to The Couch with her new album, Bonafide. It will be fun to catch up with this talented vocalist and learn what has been happening in her life and the recording of this new album.

THE JIMMYS - Segment Begins At The 2:18:23 Mark

The Jimmys went to Transylvania to record a live album, and the results are fantastic. Jimmy Voegeli and I will sit and talk about all the adventures the band has has since his first visit in November 2015.

Originally, Elvin Bishop was scheduled for this show, but we had a mis-connect. I did hear from Elvin at about 1:30am, and we are going to reschedule him for 2017.

In the meantime, we did 3-hours of holiday music...so enjoy...
