Rory returned to The Couch to talk about her latest release, A Woman’s Soul, her tribute to Bessie Smith. This is the first of a new series of albums, this one honoring the women of The Blues. Always enjoy my conversations with this wonderful artist.

Russ has released City Soul, his love letter to his adopted city of Chicago. We had a great time exploring Russ’ background and how he came to record the album, his time with Sugar Blue and more as we listened to the tunes.

Eric’s new album, Happy Songs For The Apocalypse, is a collection of songs looking at our world today. Eric’s second album, most of his days producing and engineering albums by Walter Trout and John Mayall. I had a wonderful time speaking with Eric and exploring his history.

Tom returned to talk about his latest album, The Nola Sessions. Tom offers up 13 originals, all inspired by the “beauty and creative depth of New Orleans”. We discussed the birth of the songs and the creation in the studio.

Sugar has a new album, It’s A Blues World and he and I will talk about the new music, his reaching the finals at the IBC in 2017 and where he is heading from here.

The “Baby Doll Of The Blues” has a new album entitled In The Boys Club. Her music encompasses Blues, Hip-Hop, Pop, Gospel, Rock ad Country. We’ll find out a lot more about this woman on the rise.
TRAVIS BOWLIN
Travis has released his sophomore album, Secundus, and we will get to meet this young talent. He wrote or co-wrote 11 of the 12 songs on the album which flows from Soul to rock to blues.
STEVE KRASE – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC
Steve returns with his new album, Just Waitin’, released last month. We’ll catch up with Steve and talk about the new album and music.
