Meeting My Soul is the latest from singer, songwriter, saxophonist Vanessa Collier. The album, released on the Ruf label, has a collection of amazing musicians and Vanessa shares 8 originals and 3 covers. It was great to chat with Vanessa, talking about her road to The Blues and the songs on the new album.

Lauren Mitchell took her considerable talents to Los Angeles to work with Tony Braunagel for the new album, Desire. The 13 songs come from a year of turmoil, with personal loss and the loss of her band. Lauren and I went back to the beginning and followed her journey to today.

Chrisis out of Toronto and in 2011 earned a Maple Blues Award for his debut album. He just released his third album, Monarch, and Chris joined me to share his story while we listened to the new music.
BRODY BUSTER - Segment Begins At The 1:35:00 Mark
Brodyrepresented the Kansas City Blues Society at the 2017 IBC and walked off the stage on Saturday earning second place in the Solo/Duo Challenge while also earning the Lee Oskar Harmonica Player Award. Brody took a seat to discuss his winding journey from child prodigy to wild teen to fatherhood to full-time musician, while we listened to tunes from One Man Band.
JOHN GINTY – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC

John returned for his third visit, this time to talk about his new album Rockers. The album features vocalist Aster Pheonyx and is 12 songs strong. It’s always a blast to have John on to talk about his incredible schedule, his love of the B-3 and more. John and I also talked about what is in his future.

Billy became a Couch Kid back on March 28, 2016 and he returned tonight with new music. The album is entitled, Alive And Strange. The music is live, but certainly not strange. Billy and I talked about his BMA win last year, the recording of this album and where he is headed in the future.

Due to a mix-up Tom and Mark were not available. We did play a few songs from Cabbagetown and after the show, we rescheduled them for July 24.
