Meghan Parnell and Dave Barnes were here on the first show of the year, and tonight Dave returned as Meghan vacationed with “the girls”! They have released a couple of singles off of what they are calling The Bootleg Album or Beyond The Doorway and he and I had a great chat about their year and where they are heading.

Our first Holiday album of the season, At Christmas, and we it was so nice to have Lisa back on the show. Folks, this is NOT your Mama’s Christmas album. NINE originals. You’ll be dancing around the tree.

EMMA WILSON
Emma Wilson has released her sophomore album, Memphis Calling. She came to Memphis to record it at Sam Philips Studio and had some help from folks like Don Bryant. What a wonderful young woman with talent to match. She was bright eyed and engaging, even at 4:00AM!

SUE FOLEY – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC
Sue returned to The Couch with her new album, Live In Austin, Vol 1 and we had a great talk about her incredible last two years and the new album.

MATHIAS LATTIN
Out of Houston, Mathias took First Place in the 2023 International Blues Challenge and the Best Guitarist Award all at the age of 20. His first album, Up Next!, is special and so is this young man. Talented, intelligent and he is a hell of a songwriter.
​

PAUL REED SMITH EIGHTLOCK
Paul is internationally known for his luthier skills. He is also a top-level guitar player and he, along with his band, Eightlock have released Lions Roaring In Quicksand. What a great conversation with Paul about the company and the music.

RANDY LEE RIVIERE
Splitting his time between Montana and Nashville, Randy has created the album, Blues Sky, produced and engineered by Kevin McKendree. What an interesting gentleman and a talented musician.

Mitch is releasing the new album, well albumS, Plug It In and Plug It In Acoustic. What a fun time with Mitch talking about his journey and the music on the new album.

The band is out of Arizona, and they have released the album, Enchantment. Brandon and Alyssa joined me to talk about their journeys and the band and the music. Cool folks and excellent tunes.

Ben returned to The Couch, this time with Stella Heath. They have recorded Waiting Just For You. We had a great time learning about Stella and talking about their partnership.

Out of Boston, Bees Deluxe is a blues band with a touch of acid rock. Carol Band and Conrad Warre joined me to talk about their journeys and the band and the music they created on their album Hallucinate.

Mick returned to talk about his world, the move back to Michigan and the album, Uncovered Essentials. As always a lot of laughs and we got to hear some cool uncovers.

Out of Buffalo, NY this group of veteran musicians bring old-school Chicago Blues together with a modern sound. Their album is Unusual Suspects and we spoke with Don & Brian about how it all came together and where they are heading.
