Peach first sat on The Couch in March 2013.  She returned with the new album, A Night In Copenhagen, recorded live at Café Bartof in January of this year.  Peach and I spoke about her life and career and the decision to record a live album in Denmark.

RORY BLOCK – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC

Rory Block returns to The Couch to talk about her latest release, Keepin’ Outta Trouble, the sixth album in her “Mentor Series” saluting the blues masters who’ve had a profound impact on her music. This time she pays tribute to Bukka White.  Rory made her third appearance on The Couch and we dove into the individual songs and how they impacted Rory’s making of this record.

JASON ELMORE – Segment Begins At The 51:37 Mark

Jason took a seat with me to discuss his journey and the new album from he and the Hoodoo Witch, Champagne Velvet.  This is Jason’s third release for the band from Dallas who won “Best Blues” in 2012.  Jason and I talked about his youth and how music was all in for him from the beginning.  We also discussed the dynamics of the Hoodoo Witch and how it impacts their song development.

MITCH KASHMAR – Segment Begins At The 1:35:00 Mark

Mitch has just released his third album on Delta Groove entitled West Coast Toast.  The two-time BMA nominee honors the unique sounds of the west coast with his songwriting and playing.  We spoke about his many influences and where he sees himself heading in the future.

Stevie J is an original Couch Kid having sat here back in January of 2011.  We’ve lost touch the last few years, but have reconnected and Stevie returns with his latest, Back To Blues. REV. BILLY C. WIRTZ

The Rev. Billy C. Wirtz comes direct from the First House Of Polyester Worship.  We talked about the incredible journey the Rev. has been on since a young boy in South Carolina. The new album is entitled Full Circle and features The Nighthawks.  This was a fun one.

A few weeks back, Tracy K was scheduled, but was taken down by a flu-bug and we had to reschedule. Tracy has been a staple on the scene in Canada for years and has released her fourth album, What’s The Rush.  We took a journey with Tracy and learned more about her path to today and where she is headed tomorrow, while we listened to her music.
