SCOTT ELLISON – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC
Scott and I mis-connected, but he is rescheduled for the show on February 28, 2022.
I got to sit and chat with Chad about the band, their origins, the music on the new album, Savage’s Life and where the band is heading.
OLD NO. 5’S
It was fun to catch up with Brock about the band since we saw each other in Memphis in 2017. We listened to tunes from Moment To Lose, and their plans for 2022
The new album is One Louder and they killed it again. Gina and I spoke about the recording, asking Joe Louis Walker, Big Llou and Justin Johnson to contribute and their 2022 plans
SHOW #599 - 02/14/2022
BONITA BLUES FEST
Kevin Barry stopped by to talk about the festival which returns after a two-year absence. There was a bad connection on my end, and Kevin’s audio is very muted.
My apologies to Kevin.
REGINA BONELLI – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC
Regina’s new album drops on the 18th. Entitled Truth Hurts, it is a winner. Regina and I spoke about the album and the music selections. Again, the connection was bad for the first half of the interview, until I got it fixed. Apologies Regina.
Tinsley finally took a seat on The Couch. I enjoyed our conversation and hope you enjoy his story-telling and thoughts on the new music on Devil May Care.
Reverend Nathan Dees has released Volume 1 and he and I had a fun conversation about his interesting journey to where he is today.
From Michigan, Joseph & The Velozians bring forth a fusion of Blues, Funk, R&B, Roots & Rock. Joseph and I talked about his journey, the music he presents and exactly when we met!
SHOW #600 - 02/21/2022
A three-hour tour of Music On The Couch. Looking back on the guests, the Round Tables, the IBC, the Blues Foundation shows and those we lost.
No desert islands...No deciding between Ginger and Mary-Ann
Just a look back on 12 years of interviews and fun.
THANK YOU ALL!
SHOW #601 - 02/28/2022
We had issues with Scott’s last visit, my first guest on TGRN. We had issues last night on both our ends. I had not set his audio correctly, and he had food-poisoning...you could not hear him at all...Maybe a good thing. We will speak with Scott soon. (No audio for this portion of the show).
Sandy has released Feels Like Freedom in January and came by to speak about the music and her journey. She is a little over-modulated in the beginning, but we corrected it soon after beginning.
BIG AL & THE HEAVYWEIGHTS – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC
Al Lauro returned to The Couch to speak about the world around he and the band and the music on the new album, Love One Another. He spoke about the recording of this album and getting back on the road.
BOB CORRITORE – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC
Bob returned to talk about his two new releases; Louisiana Red & Bob Corritore, Tell Me ‘Bout It and Bob Corritore & Friends, Down Home Blues Revue. We also spoke about the effect of the pandemic on his business and his desire to share all the recordings he has done over the years. Always fun with Bob.
