MICHAEL FRANK
Michael was entranced by the Blues as a teen and moved to Chicago after college. There he met many of the Bluesmen living and performing there and began playing harp with Honeyboy Edwards. He also managed Honeyboy and started Earwig Records in 1978. Michael and I werre only able to touch on a small portion of his life. He talked about the relationship they had and what he learned.

JOHN D'AMATO - Segment Begins At The 49:15 Mark
John struggled with illness as a child, and his sister’s guitar became a constant companion. By the time he was in his early teens, many were recognizing his talents. His first album, Ain’t No Big Deal, was widely applauded and earned him stage time with B.B. King and an appearance on Joe Louis Walker’s Hellfire. John and I talked about his life and career as we listened to tunes from Born Blue-The Sun Sessions.

IVAS JOHN - Segment Begins At The 1:31:30 Mark
Ivas comes out of the Chicagoland area and music came into his life through his dad. Ivas and his band have become a staple throughout the Midwest and they just released their new album, Good Days A Comin’, We spoke about his life and career as we listened to his music.

KENNY "BLUES BOSS" WAYNE - COUCH KID NEW MUSIC

Kenny returns to The Couch with his latest release, Jumpin’ and Boppin’, which was released on Friday. I talked with Kenny about what he has been up to since his last visit, and I asked about the work he soes for the Rotary Center For The Arts in Kelowna, British Columbia as we listened to tunes.

PETER D. HARPER
Peter is an award-winning singer/songwriter originally out of Australian, now a Michigan native. Simply known as Harper, he has been receiving glowing reviews for his music and the album, Show Your Love. Peter and I talked about his upbringing, moving to Australia at 10, how his grandfather brought him to the blues and all that has happened in his life.

TERRIE ODABI - Segment Begins At The 45:20 Mark
Terrie comes out of San Francisco and has earned her way to the International Blues Challenge in both 2014 and 2015. Her new album is entitled My Blue Soul and it is 13 original tunes that will infect your soul. Terrie and I talked about her musical journey and the many forms of music she performed before she focused on the blues, as well as her music on the new album.

ALABAMA MIKE - COUCH KID NEW MUSIC

Mike first sat on The Couch as a member of The Hound Kings. He returns with his solo album, Upset The Status Quo, recorded at Greaseland Studios. The album features 8 originals and Mike and I will talked about what has been happening in his life since he last visited whicle we explored the music on the album.

George returned with Wash My Horse In Champagne, his follow-up to the highly successful debut, Chromaticism. George and I discussed the album and all that has been happening in his life since he last appeared on The Couch.

Bill Phillippe sat with me in March of 2015 when Ghosts was released. He returned earlier this year to talk about the fund-raising campaign for the new album Parade. Now he returns with the finished product and we talked about the entire recording process and where he is heading.

Dave Allen and “Little Laura” Lamun each took different journeys until they met in 2007 and formed a musical and life bond. Maybe It’s A Good Thing, their new release, is a collection of 12 originals, showcasing their duet vocal sound. We talked about their careers and how they came together and where they are heading.
